My family and I had the most exciting time out in Los Angeles at the beginning of February!

As much as I love buying new clothes, this time around I wanted to take a bit more of an eco-friendly and renewable approach. With a bit of help from my friends and some fashion know-how, I created some looks whilst I was over in LA that I really loved and that are super easy to create yourself.

The first outfit was a simple look with added accessories that elevated everything. Re-wearing pieces that you already have but purchasing accessories that are multi-functional and can be worn with lots of things is a great way to cut down on purchasing too much fast-fashion.

My Only The Blind Hoodie was an investment piece and the black jeans are actually an old pair that – with the help of Mum – got patched up and rehemmed. With the addition of my new ASOS DESIGN party chest harness in black sequin and Yellow Sixth June belt, I created the perfect airport outfit without compromising on comfort, functionality or style.

The second outfit was another simple outfit – jeans and t-shirt kinda vibe – as it was lovely and sunny in Los Angeles.

Simplicity is key and accessories really help to pull everything together. Pink and purple were the order of the day with a very positive slogan on the back of my ASOS Tee, “Break down every barrier!”

With the addition of the harness bag and this Cian Key Chain that I decided to wear as a necklace from Weekday, it made for the perfect look for the glorious sunshine.

My third outfit was brought to you by IW Customz. I shouted my boy Isaac who recently started a denim customs company and asked him if he could do something cool with my Levi’s Jacket and grey jeans that Mum and I patched up and rehemmed. And this is the brilliance that he came up with:

Investing in local businesses that your friends are running is so important. Support your friends!

The great thing about getting pieces customised is that you extend the life of an item of clothing meaning that it won’t end up in landfill any time soon. If you have lost weight or gained it, find ways of still loving the clothes that you already own.

I am quite happy that this was the outfit that I met Matt Steffanina in. Needless to say, IW Customz brought the drip to this look!

Whilst taking in the sights from the Intercontinental Downtown LA hotel, I wore a full ASOS outfit with a little flourish of my Beauxnarrow shirt.

The last look I wore was probably my favourite because I wore it to an Oscars Afterparty with the Producer Guild of America. Felt very privileged to be able to go into that environment to have fun, network and – most importantly – dance!

You may recognise this suit from my birthday party, or from last seasons London Fashion Week. I will continue to re-wear this ASOS suit simply because I love it and I want to get the most from my money. These brilliant blue Monkstraps are from Shoe Embassy, I have had these for so many years and they still look exceptional. I always get stopped and asked where these are from.

These are all the things I wore whilst I was in LA. So grateful to God for all of the opportunities that we have had and I do not take these moments for granted.

I hope that you have enjoyed this quick run-through of what I wore and I hope that it will make you consider being a bit more considerate with your purchases.
